Overview The 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design set minimum requirements for newly designed and constructed or altered state and local government facilities, public accommodations, and commercial facilities to be readily accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities. These standards include provisions for accessible routes, building elements, restrooms, communication features, and other facilities.
The 2010 Oregon ADA Standards adopt the federal 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design with additional amendments tailored to Oregon’s specific requirements. These modifications ensure that facilities within Oregon meet both federal and state accessibility standards, providing an inclusive environment for all individuals, including those with disabilities.
