Overview The ICC A117.1-2009 Standard provides technical criteria for making buildings and facilities accessible to and usable by people with disabilities. It includes requirements for accessible routes, site and building elements, plumbing elements and facilities, communication elements, and special rooms and spaces.

The 2017 Oregon Accessibility Code adopts the ICC A117.1-2009 with amendments specific to Oregon to ensure accessibility in public and private buildings. These modifications are designed to meet the unique needs of Oregon’s population, ensuring that buildings are inclusive and accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities.
