Overview The International Building Code (IBC) is a publication for the construction of buildings and structures, including fire safety, occupancy classification, building height and area limitations, egress, and structural design.
The Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC) 2014 is based on the International Building Code 2012 (IBC 2012) with amendments and additions to address Oregon’s unique environmental and seismic conditions. This code provides the framework for ensuring that buildings are constructed safely and sustainably, considering the specific risks and requirements of the region.
