Pennsylvania Gap Analysis: Recommendations And Improvements

Pennsylvania Gap Analysis: Recommendations And Improvements

The purpose of the Pennsylvania Gap Analysis Report is twofold:

  1. To document and analyze the unique strengths and weaknesses of the Commonwealth’s existing energy code adoption and implementation infrastructure and policies; and
  2. To recommend actions that state agencies, local jurisdictions, and other stakeholders can take to support and encourage local jurisdictions to adopt, enforce, and improve compliance with model energy codes.

The report also details some of the commonwealth’s current best practices and offers Pennsylvania-specific recommendations for actions that would improve the energy efficiency of Pennsylvania’s built environment. The final report is not yet available, but the document below is the list of recommendations and possible improvements suggested by the Building Codes Assistance Project (BCAP).
