Scope
- The Georgia 2010 ADA Standards establish accessibility requirements for public accommodations, commercial facilities, and state and local government facilities to ensure access for individuals with disabilities. The standards cover design, construction, and alterations of facilities, including accessible routes, entrances, bathrooms, parking, and other elements essential for equal access.
Exception #1: Historic buildings may follow alternative compliance methods to preserve historical integrity while enhancing accessibility.
Exception #2: Facilities with limited public access may have modified requirements depending on function and usage as determined by local authorities.
