Overview The 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design establish requirements to ensure that buildings and facilities are accessible to individuals with disabilities. These standards cover a wide range of elements, including accessible routes, entrances, facilities, restrooms, signage, communication elements, and other features to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The standards provide technical specifications and scoping requirements for new construction and alterations to ensure that all individuals, regardless of their abilities, can use and access buildings and facilities. This edition reflects the latest updates and revisions to align with federal ADA regulations and Florida-specific accessibility requirements.
