Overview ACI 318 is a standard developed by the American Concrete Institute (ACI) that provides guidelines and requirements for the design, construction, and materials of structural concrete. It includes provisions for strength, serviceability, durability, and detailing of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures.
The 2019 Ohio Structural Concrete Code is based on ACI 318-14 with Ohio-specific amendments. This code sets the minimum standards for the design, construction, and maintenance of structural concrete within the state of Ohio. The Ohio-specific amendments include additional provisions tailored to the unique structural needs and conditions of concrete construction in Ohio, ensuring safety, reliability, and performance of concrete structures.
