Overview AISC 341 is a standard developed by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) that provides guidelines and requirements for the seismic design of structural steel buildings. The 2016 Ohio Seismic Steel Construction Code is based on AISC 341-10 with Ohio-specific amendments. This code sets the minimum standards for the seismic design and construction of structural steel buildings within the state of Ohio. The Ohio-specific amendments include additional provisions tailored to the unique seismic conditions and requirements in Ohio, ensuring the safety and reliability of steel structures during seismic events.
