Overview The International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) is a publication for the design and construction of energy-efficient buildings. It sets forth the minimum requirements for energy-efficient buildings through design, construction, and operation.
The 2021 Ohio Energy Code is based on the International Energy Conservation Code 2018 (IECC 2018) with Ohio-specific amendments. This code establishes minimum requirements for energy-efficient building design and construction for both residential and commercial buildings within the state of Ohio. The aim is to achieve energy savings and improve energy efficiency in new construction and renovations.
