Overview The International Mechanical Code (IMC) provides minimum standards for the design, installation, and maintenance of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems. It covers all aspects of mechanical systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability.
The 2018 Ohio Commercial HVAC Inspection and Maintenance Code is based on the International Mechanical Code 2015 (IMC 2015) with Ohio-specific amendments. This code sets the minimum standards for the inspection and maintenance of HVAC systems in commercial buildings within the state of Ohio. The Ohio-specific amendments include modifications to address particular inspection and maintenance needs and conditions unique to Ohio.
