Overview The 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design set minimum requirements for newly designed and constructed or altered state and local government facilities, public accommodations, and commercial facilities to be readily accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities. These standards are a part of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which ensures that individuals with disabilities have equal access to facilities and services.
The 2010 ADA Standards are adopted without amendments in Ohio. This code establishes the minimum standards for accessibility to buildings and facilities by individuals with disabilities, ensuring that these structures are accessible and usable by all individuals.
