Adoption Info of Georgia Unbonded Single-Strand Tendon Materials Code 2014
- PTI DC35.1-14 (Specification for Unbonded Single-Strand Tendon Materials) with Georgia-specific amendments
Effective Dates
- January 1, 2014 – Present
Adopts with Amendments
- PTI DC35.1-14 (Specification for Unbonded Single-Strand Tendon Materials)
Scope
- The Georgia Unbonded Single-Strand Tendon Materials Code applies to the materials, design, and installation of unbonded single-strand tendons used in post-tensioned concrete structures. This code ensures that tendon materials meet minimum standards for durability, performance, and safety in both residential and commercial post-tensioned applications, including requirements for corrosion protection, tensile strength, and installation practices.
Exception #1: Tendons used in temporary structures may have reduced requirements if intended for short-term use and approved by the local authority.
Exception #2: Non-structural applications of unbonded tendons, such as those used in decorative elements, may follow alternative guidelines if they do not bear structural loads.
