Scope
- The provisions of the Georgia Stationary Fuel Cell Power Code 2015 apply to the design, installation, and maintenance of stationary fuel cell power systems. These systems are used to generate electricity and heat for buildings and facilities. The code provides guidelines for system safety, location, fuel supply, and maintenance to ensure reliable and safe operation in both residential and commercial applications.
Exception #1: Fuel cell installations for one- and two-family dwellings may follow simplified installation requirements, or exemptions may apply, depending on local jurisdiction.
Exception #2: Portable or temporary fuel cell installations, such as those used on construction sites or for special events, are not governed by NFPA 853 and are subject to different regulations.
