Adoption Info of Georgia Special Unbonded Post-Tensioned Precast Structural Walls Code, 2007
- ACI ITG-5.1-07 (Acceptance Criteria for Special Unbonded Post-Tensioned Precast Structural Walls) with Georgia-specific amendments
Effective Dates
- January 1, 2007 – Present
Adopts with Amendments
- ACI ITG-5.1-07 (Acceptance Criteria for Special Unbonded Post-Tensioned Precast Structural Walls)
Scope
- The Georgia Special Unbonded Post-Tensioned Precast Structural Walls Code applies to the design, construction, and maintenance of unbonded post-tensioned precast structural wall systems used in buildings. This code establishes acceptance criteria for seismic resistance, structural integrity, and durability, ensuring these walls perform effectively under lateral loads, especially in earthquake-prone areas.
Exception #1: Low-rise structures located in low-seismic zones may be subject to alternative requirements, as determined by local jurisdiction.
Exception #2: Temporary structures and non-load-bearing walls may have reduced post-tensioning requirements if approved by the local authority.
