Scope

  • The Georgia Solder Joint Pressure Fitting Code for Wrought Copper and Copper Alloy applies to the design, dimensions, and installation requirements for solder joint pressure fittings made from wrought copper and copper alloys. These fittings are widely used in water supply, HVAC, and other pressurized systems to ensure secure, leak-resistant connections.

Exception #1: Non-pressurized applications and systems operating below specified pressure thresholds may use alternative fitting standards per local code.

Exception #2: Temporary installations, such as those used during construction, may be governed by different standards based on the nature of the installation.
