Scope

This code addresses safety measures to prevent falls, accidents, and injuries, covering components such as belt construction, speed limits, emergency stops, and safety signage.
Exception #1: Belt manlifts used in temporary construction settings may follow separate regulations under construction safety standards.
Exception #2: Private facilities with limited access may be subject to alternative compliance requirements based on risk assessments approved by local jurisdiction.
