This code applies to apartments, condominiums, hotels, and other low-rise residential buildings, focusing on enhancing fire safety while maintaining cost-effectiveness in these types of structures.
Exception #1: Certain unoccupied areas, such as small utility closets and attics not used for storage, may be exempt from sprinkler requirements based on local authority guidelines.
